Aston Villa have had a successful January transfer window and Steve Bruce has spent very well to improve his squad at Villa Park, as the club look to force their way back into the Premier League at the first-time of asking.
Deadline Day has proven to be very exciting for the Villa faithful, who have endured a rollercoaster ride this season following a poor start to the campaign, as reports emerged that stated Bruce’s side have emerged triumphant in the race for Brentford’s Scott Hogan.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked to West Ham since the end of December but Slaven Bilic elected not to approve a £15m deal, which left the door open for Villa to snatch Hogan’s signature and increase their season spending.
With 14 goals so far this season in the Championship, sitting fifth in the league’s top-scorers, Hogan should prove to be a key asset for Villa and the fans are extremely excited with their imminent new arrival.
Interested in this Hogan deal, looks a good player. I hope he plays with the same intensity if he signs 1/2 #avfc

If Villa manage to get rid of McCormack & replace him with Hogan, then that's a huge win for them this January. Irrespective of other deals.

Scott Hogan for 15m ???????? Villa must of spent about 80m this season plus the hefty wage bill. Crazy money.

Needs to be some sort of limit on spending at least in the championship, £15m for Kodjia, £15m for Hogan and £12m for McCormack, all Villa

Aston Villa before signing Scott Hogan, had a very good window, with him – it's been even better.

Shows dr's ambition by paying £15 million for hogan so that Brentford don't have a decent striker tonight ! #deep
